The site is organised as a chronology in seven sections. Two Steves covers the Apple I and the years before the company had a marketing department. The Mac runs from Jef Raskin’s project document to the Flint Center stage. Cast Out covers the 1985 departure, NeXT and Pixar. The Return begins in 1997 and ends at Stanford Stadium. The Devices takes the keynotes one product at a time.
Two sections are about the quotations themselves rather than the chronology. Verified collects the sourced record — the interviews, oral histories and books a quotation can be checked against. Never Said deals with the lines that circulate under his name and belong to somebody else, or to nobody at all.
Every page is reachable from the archive, which lists all thirty-one in one place.
The struck circle is the site’s one drawn mark. It sits beside a quotation that cannot be traced to a named occasion, and it appears nowhere else.
